Public Accounts Committee recommendations

The Public Accounts Committee (PAC) is appointed by the House of Commons to examine 'the accounts showing the appropriation of the sums granted to Parliament to meet the public expenditure, and of such other accounts laid before Parliament as the Committee may think fit' (Standing Order No 148).

In order to do this the Committee hold inquiries into different aspects of the Home Office considering the evidence it has received. After each inquiry a report is written which provides details of the evidence and usually makes recommendations to the Home Office.

Resource accounts

These Home Office resource accounts show the department's income and expenditure for 2009-10, as well as its departmental spending, resource and capital budget, capital employed, administration costs, staff numbers, and identifiable expenditure by country, region and function, from 2004-05 to 2010-11.
