Herdsure® Cattle Health Improvement Service

Improved health, improved productivity

AHVLA Scientific offers Herdsure, a comprehensive cattle health improvement service that provides the dairy and beef industry with a well structured, straightforward and cost effective health management programme for all herd types.

To assess and improve the health status of your herd, Herdsure has three clearly defined levels:

Herdsure offers advice on effective management principles to help control disease and provides testing protocols for
the major endemic diseases that have significant economic impact on the UK cattle industry.

Herdsure offers the option of accredited disease free status and is licensed by Cattle Health Certification Standards (CHeCS) for BVD, Johne’s disease, IBR and leptospirosis. CHeCS is a self regulatory body for cattle health schemes in the UK. It is a non-trading organisation established by the British cattle industry for the control and eradication of non-statutory diseases by a set of standards to which all cattle herd schemes must adhere.
